Our Story
For Aaron Comes, founder and president of Frederick Lynn, an appreciation for fine clothing began at an early age. Each morning, he watched his father dress in a suit and tie for work, noting the care and intention behind every detail. He still recalls his mother hand-pressing his father’s shirts daily—small rituals that quietly shaped his meticulous eye and instinctive understanding of style.
Aaron went on to earn a degree in Marketing and Textiles before moving to Chicago, where he spent eight years working for the world’s largest custom clothing manufacturer. During this time, he gained invaluable insight into how men want their clothing to feel, function, and fit into their lives. Recognizing a gap in the marketplace, Aaron set out to create something more personal, more refined, and more experience-driven.
In the third year of Frederick Lynn—named using a combination of his parents’ middle names—the business evolved from a direct model to the opening of its first Chicago showroom. This marked a pivotal moment, allowing Aaron to offer one-on-one appointments and a curated, relaxed environment that emphasized craftsmanship, personal styling, and exceptional service. Frederick Lynn began to establish itself not only as a luxury clothier, but as a lifestyle brand.
In 2021, Aaron relocated the business to downtown Hinsdale, undertaking a multi-year renovation of a 6,500-square-foot building in the village’s historic business district. The result is Frederick Lynn’s luxury showroom, located on the second floor—an inviting space designed to deliver an elevated, highly personalized client experience.
Today, Aaron continues to grow Frederick Lynn’s presence in Hinsdale, deepening community involvement while remaining committed to the principles that have defined the brand from the beginning: precision, craftsmanship, and clothing designed to reflect the character of the individual wearing it.
